Replacing a Pick-Up

I received a comment about replacing Pick-Ups. It's a good thing I read about replacing and everything that is related to Pick-ups during my first post. And I won't be available for the next 2 weeks because I have somewhere to go~~

So I'll write about it now~~~

So why do we need to replace Pick-Ups? There are lots of answers for this.

The first answer is that you need a new sound. Believe it or not, different Pick-Ups give different tones. It's like the difference between Acoustics as well. In Acoustics, the Woods used are detrimental to it's tone. It's hard to explain, you have to experience the tone personally. And that is the same for Pick-Ups. If Acoustics depend on the Wood, then Pick-Ups depend on the Magnet. You know~~ Physics, Resonance, Wavelength, D.C Resistance, blah-blah

The second common answer is Friction. Pick-Ups are magnets. That indirectly means RUST!!! Which means bad tone output.

Other common answers are "I've got the money" , "I need to look inside my Electric.. Ooops I pulled the connecting Wire!!" , blah-blah~~~

A Pick-Up Specialist, Seymour Duncan (HE is a very well-known brand, a simple single-coil costs min 300euros) has made a video on how to replace a Pick-Up, HERE it is~~~

Unfortunately he didn't post a video on how to replace Pick-Ups on Ibanez's.. So good luck there~~

Ok.. So let's talk about the placing now~~
After watching some of the videos (for you Enthusiasts), there are a few minor details not being mentioned,

- Polepiece centers SHOULD and MUST be perfectly aligned with strings, or else sound or tone would be not optimal.

-Uneven string spacings. It begins with minimal spacing at the 1st fret and widens further down. So the bridge, middle and neck Pick-Ups should have different polepiece spacings on the same guitar.

-The Distance between the Polepiece and the strings is not really a big issue. That is why Tremolo's were invented. Tremolo's are a device to either increase or decrease the distance between the strings and polepiece.

Hmmm~~ I can't think of anything else now~~ So I'll stop here and write another blog about a Guitar~~
